MAVTV, the motorsports television network has been acquired by RACER, a key news outlet for the racing industry. As part of the deal, MAVTV will be rebranded RACER Network. The two companies have had a long-standing relationship. Strategic discussions started more than a year ago for the acquisition and accelerated in the 4th quarter of last year. Financial terms were not disclosed. RACER's clients have included BMW, Dodge SRT, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, Porsche, Toyota, IMSA, IndyCar, Laguna Seca, SCCA, Trans-Am, Monster Energy, American Legion, Lime Rock Park, Piloti, and many others. “We have been partners for many years and over time the parties realized this made complete sense,” said RACER Chairman of the Board Chris Dyson. “The combination makes RACER the central multi-media motorsports hub for fans and provides brands with the most comprehensive array of marketing solutions to activate their involvement in the sport and its adjacent sectors.” PROMOTED
