The final race of the 2024 Formula 1 schedule is set for this weekend in Abu Dhabi, but already the global open-wheel racing series has racked up impressive growth in several key demographics. A new study by Nielsen Sports released today shows that F1 is the most popular yearly sporting series, reaching a total audience of 750 million. What's impressive is that in just the past three years, Formula 1 has seen global interest grow by 5.7% or approximately 50 million new fans since 2021. The core growth area for fans is coming from the female demographic.
