McMaster, who served as Donald Trump's second national security adviser from 2017–2018, the answer is clear. "I think we're on the cusp of a world war," McMaster told The Free Press . "There's an economic war going on. There are real wars going on in Europe and across the Middle East, and there's a looming war in the Pacific.
