Raises Annual Distribution 14% to $0.64 Per Share From $0.56 Per Share RYE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Board of Trustees of The Gabelli Global Small and Mid Cap Value Trust (NYSE:GGZ) (the “Fund”) declared a $0.16 per share cash distribution payable on March 24, 2020 to common shareholders of record on March 17, 2020. The $0.16 first quarter 2020 distribution is a 14% increase from $0.14 per share in the same period last year, bringing the 2020 annual distribution to $0.64 per share from $0.56 per share. The increase follows on the strength of the Fund’s market return in 2019, which increased 27%.The Fund intends to pay a quarterly distribution of an amount determined by the Board of Trustees and may change the amount at any time. In addition, and in accordance with the minimum distribution requirements of the Internal Revenue Code for regulated investment companies, the Fund may pay an adjusting distribution which includes any additional income and net realized capital gains in ex
