One of the world's largest entertainment meccas, Las Vegas is used to hosting large events, but its first Super Bowl — Super Bowl LVIII — was on another level. “This was in a league of its own,” Ronn Nicolli Jr., chief marketing officer at Resorts World Las Vegas, exclusively shared. “I have never seen anything like this. The demand, the energy, the consumer actions, I've never seen that in 20 years.” Those consumer actions resulted in $1 billion worth of spending in Las Vegas, according to statistics compiled for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority by Applied Analysis. Gross visitor spending surpassed $877 million. Visitors in town for the Super Bowl spent an average of $2,660, which is about twice as much as a typical visitor ($1,260 per trip).
