This development aims to boost production by connecting additional wells to the existing infrastructure, which is powered by low-emission resources from onshore. The Johan Sverdrup field, which commenced production in 2019, is among the largest developments in the region, according to the company's press release. TechnipFMC will be responsible for designing, manufacturing and installing subsea production systems, umbilicals and rigid pipe to integrate new templates into the existing field centre. This contract follows an integrated front end engineering and design (iFEED) study. TechnipFMC subsea president Jonathan Landes said: “It is a privilege to contribute once again to the development of this field, where we delivered subsea production systems for each of the previous phases.
