NEW YORK, Feb. 4, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Fortescue Metals Group Limited (ACN 002 594 872) ("Fortescue") (ASX: FMG) today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, FMG Resources (August 2006) Pty Ltd (ACN 118 887 835) (the "Issuer") has commenced a consent solicitation (the "Consent Solicitation") with respect to proposed amendments to the indenture, dated as of May 12, 2017 (as supplemented to the date hereof, the "Indenture"), governing the series of notes described in this release (the "Notes").Consent SolicitationSubject to the terms and conditions described in the Solicitation Materials (as defined below), the Issuer is soliciting consents from the holders of each series of Notes ("Holders") to the proposed amendments to the Indenture to allow Fortescue to carve out subsidiaries that are financed with non-recourse project finance indebtedness from the existing "Significant Subsidiaries" definition.
