Local companies earn spots on "Best Places to Work in PA." [Yahoo! Finance]

An independent research firm, Best Companies Group, specializes in identifying and recognizing “great employers to work for,” its website says. The Pennsylvania rankings were revealed at an awards ceremony in Lancaster Dec. 12, with anonymous employee feedback accounting for 75% of the scoring. Concurrent Technologies Corp. and its technology transition affiliate, Enterprise Ventures Corp., both ranked in their respective categories based on employment size. CTC ranked 10th among 37 large companies on the list, while EVC was ranked No. 24 among the 60 small companies that earned recognition. “This recognition reflects our strong commitment to employee satisfaction and workplace culture,” the company said in a press release. Wessel & Co. came in at No. 43 and Keller Engineers Inc. came in at No. 55 in the small employer category. In the medium employer category, 1st Summit Bank was ranked No. 25. JWF Industries also earned a spot at No. 33 in the large employer category.
