In filings with the Employment Development Department, the courier service provider indicated it would be closing its shipping centers in Oakland and Emeryville. What's behind the ongoing Bay Area tech layoffs? ‘Nobody is safe,' expert says The closure of the Emeryville facility at 1600 63rd Street will see 79 people lose their jobs. Shutting down the Oakland facility at 8455 Pardee Drive will see an additional 95 people lose their jobs.
