Despite high consumer optimism, the adoption of gen AI in healthcare remains stagnant, with trust issues presenting a significant barrier. The survey, conducted in March 2024 with over 2,000 US adults, highlights several key takeaways. Consumers who have used gen AI for health reasons believe it could reduce appointment wait times and lower individual care costs, with 66% expressing this view. However, overall adoption has regressed to 37% of consumers utilizing it in 2024, compared to 40% in 2023.
