The 40-bed Rehabilitation Hospital of Atlanta is designed to deliver comprehensive rehabilitative services for patients recovering from serious injuries and conditions. Its primary aim is to assist patients recovering from brain injuries, strokes, amputations, spinal cord injuries and other complex orthopaedic conditions that require them to regain function and independence. The facility features 40 private patient rooms, a therapy gym with advanced rehabilitation technologies, an in-house pharmacy and a separate dayroom area. Patients at the hospital will receive at least three hours of intensive therapy for five days a week, as well as frequent physician visits and round-the-clock nursing care. An interdisciplinary team comprising specialised therapists, physicians and nurses is being employed at the hospital to deliver a range of occupational, physical and speech therapies.
