The aircraft will be used to support rapid response to wildfire fighting, search and rescue, emergency and personnel transportation in remote areas, and aerial surveillance "Emergencies like wildfires are becoming more and more prevalent because of climate change. That's why we're doing all we can to be prepared, including upgrading our fleet of helicopters. The Airbus H125s have served us well in fighting wildfires and for other uses," said Tory Rushton , Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables. "It's an honour that the province of Nova Scotia has once again chosen Airbus to support the vital missions of the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables.
