Shares of Ski-Doo and Sea-Doo maker BRP ( DOO.TO DOOO ) jumped by as much as 13 per cent on Wednesday. Executives at the Quebec-based power sports manufacturer told investors they see a “market rebound” on the horizon after booking a 20 per cent annualized drop in sales. BRP reported fourth-quarter financial results before the start of trading. The Canadian company swung to a $44.5 million loss in the three months ended Jan. 31, versus a $302.8 million profit in the same period last year. On a year-over-year basis, BRP's revenue slumped about 20 per cent in the fourth quarter, due in large part to slower snowmobile sales. The company is highly exposed to U.S. President Donald Trump's bid to recast American foreign trade. BRP manufactures products in Canada and Mexico. About 60 per cent of its sales comes from the United States.
