Both revenue and earnings per share (EPS) estimates were cut sharply as the analysts factored in the latest outlook for the business, concluding that they were too optimistic previously. Shares are up 4.3% to US$72.75 in the past week. Investors could be forgiven for changing their mind on the business following the downgrade; but it's not clear if the revised forecasts will lead to selling activity. Trump has pledged to "unleash" American oil and gas and these 15 US stocks have developments that are poised to benefit. Following the downgrade, the current consensus from Dollar Tree's 20 analysts is for revenues of US$19b in 2026 which - if met - would reflect a satisfactory 7.7% increase on its sales over the past 12 months.
