The competitor to Lufthansa said on Tuesday that one return flight per day is planned from Frankfurt. The new European city destinations are Rome, Milan, Prague, Vienna and Zurich. With this move, Condor is entering into direct competition with the Lufthansa Group, with whom it has disputes over the conditions for feeder flights to Frankfurt. The 2025 summer flight schedule begins at the end of March. Domestic air travel has seen only a weak recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic and is dominated by Lufthansa. According to the latest figures from the industry association BDL, not even half as many seats - just 48% - are being offered on domestic flights in winter up to and including March as before the pandemic. Historically, Condor has only offered tourist destinations. For long-haul flights, city trips to destinations like New York or Bangkok have been available for some time, and now they are being introduced in Europe as well.
