Survey Reveals Tire Care Knowledge Lacking Among Rideshare Drivers [Forbes]

Before you hop into a rideshare vehicle, it might be a good idea to take a quick look at its tires. That's because a new survey released in conjunction with Monday's start of 2024 National Tire Safety Week revealed a lot of rideshare drivers don't really know much about tire maintenance. The survey of 335 current rideshare drivers on efforts they take to stay on the road was commissioned by mobile data company , which developed a mobile app for extensive tire evaluation that uses a smartphone's camera. Among the survey's key findings, 80% said they agree that safety is an important factor for their passengers and 64% said they check their tires regularly, but 48% said they conduct only visual inspections of tread depth, which industry experts say is not sufficient.
