Payfare stock plummets after disclosing DoorDash program won't be renewed [Seeking Alpha]

In a statement, Payfare ( PAY:CA ) said its core services agreement related to DoorDash's ( DASH ) DasherDirect card program won't be renewed beyond the current term in early 2025. That's Payfare's largest program and provides a "substantial portion" of its total revenue. As a result, Payfare ( PA:CA ) withdrew its 2024 guidance for revenue and earnings and will start a transition plan to begin in Q4 2024. The company has more than $100M in cash, cash equities, and guaranteed investment certificates. "Payfare continues to see high growth with its other client programs and is working on securing new, large-scale EWA (Earned Wage Access) programs in both the gig economy and employee verticals," it said on Thursday. It expects that the aggregate gross dollar value from these opportunities could mitigate the impact of the DoorDash ( DASH ) non-renewal.
