DoorDash and Coco Robotics partner to offer US sidewalk robot delivery [Yahoo! Finance]

The deliveries are now operational in Los Angeles and Chicago, with almost 600 merchants participating, allowing customers to opt for an emissions-free robot delivery via the DoorDash app. The expansion is part of DoorDash's strategy to enhance last-mile logistics and create a sustainable, multi-modal delivery platform that includes Dashers [the company's team of delivery workers], drones and autonomous robots. Coco's fleet of 1,000 emissions-free delivery robots has been active in Los Angeles since 2020, and has now extended its services to Chicago, Miami and Helsinki.
