Community West Bank said it celebrated the grand opening last month of its new banking center at 9201 Camino Media, Suite 100, more than a year after it opened temporary offices in Bakersfield. "We are proud to be a part of Bakersfield and to serve local businesses, individuals and the community," Community West President and CEO James J. Kim said in a news release. The bank was established in Clovis in 1979. It changed its name from Central Valley Community Bank last year upon its completion of a $143 million merger with the holding company of Community West, which had been based in Goleta.
