Prelim probe finds ruptured fuel hose on Cathay Pacific A350 in Sept 2 incident [Seeking Alpha]

The Air Accident Investigation Authority (AAIA) said that black soot was observed in the rear section of the core engine, indicating signs of a fire. Additionally, the authorities noted burn marks on the underside of the two thrust reversers cowls. On September 2, the Hong Kong-based carrier's Zurich-bound flight Airbus ( OTCPK:EADSF ) A350 was forced to return to Hong Kong on account of an engine fire warning shortly after takeoff. As a result, Cathay canceled multiple flights to conduct inspections of its Airbus A350 fleet and identified 15 aircraft with affected engine components that required replacement, of which three have gone through successful repairs.
