Officials with the digital infrastructure company Core Scientific and the artificial intelligence developer Core Weave touted the center's potential Monday. They joined city and county leaders at Muskogee Davis Regional Airport for a groundbreaking, relocated indoors because of rain. Core Scientific Chief Development Officer Russell Cann said the company will build a 70,000-square-foot high-performance artificial intelligence center south of Muskogee. He said it could open in early 2026. Port Muskogee Executive Director Kimbra Scott said the center will be at Smith Ferry Road and Dal-Tile Road. Brian Venturo, chief strategy officer for Core Weave, said the center's critical infrastructure "represents a $4 billion total capital investment." "The data center is more than servers and switches, though," Venturo said. "It will bring jobs, investments and innovations along with it."
