Other than currency ETFs, every category tracked by etf.com had net inflows during the month. U.S. equity ETFs took in the bulk of the inflows—$37.4 billion—followed by U.S. fixed income ETFs, with $26 billion. International fixed income ETFs were a standout, with inflows of $4.8 billion, crushing the $98 million brought in by international equity ETFs in August. This year's August haul was more than seven times greater than the $9.5 billion investors put into the funds in the same month last year. Year-to-date inflows of just under $600 billion are also double the $287 billion total at the end of last August.
