Prices for rebar and other structural/long products in the U.S. have held up relatively well in comparison to prices for flat-rolled steel this year, which Jefferies analyst Christopher LaFemina attributes to demand growth in U.S. construction-related end markets, largely due to policy-driven investment, so Commercial Metals ( CMC ) earns an upgrade given its "high market share in the consolidated U.S. rebar market and its discount valuation relative to its major EAF peers."
