(NYSE:CFR) today reported fourth quarter and full-year results for 2024. Net income available to common shareholders for the fourth quarter of 2024 was $153.2 million , representing a $52.3 million increase compared to $100.9 million reported for the fourth quarter of 2023. Results for the fourth quarter of 2023 were impacted by a $51.5 million $40.7 million net of tax) special surcharge associated with FDIC insurance. Excluding the FDIC surcharge in the year-ago period, fourth quarter 2024 net income available to common shareholders increased by $11.6 million , or 8.2 percent, compared to $141.6 million for the fourth quarter of 2023.
