The announcement came with the reveal that it would be coming to Switch, PS4 and Steam. And you…may notice something missing there. That would be Xbox, and Capcom has declined comment . It's even weirder given that in the same showcase, two Ace Attorney games are coming to Xbox One in addition to the other platforms, and that has left many fighting fans upset. All past Marvel vs. Capcom games have launched on Xbox, so what…is going on here? No one seems to know with 100% certainty, and it's being seen as a bad look for both Capcom and Xbox, Capcom as they apparently don't want to do some sort of extra work or make some separate deal to come to Xbox, and Xbox because they weren't able to convince Capcom to do so. There's a possibly confirmed theory that it's because Capcom's MT Framework Engine no longer works on Xbox One, explaining other games that have skipped the console, but still, the point stands that Capcom doesn't think the Xbox is worth the work to correct that.
