The company has hired Proof & Company, the Singapore-based distributor, to market its sodas and tonics to on-trade customers in the two territories. George Bagos, the general manager of Three Cents and a co-founder of the brand, said Hong Kong and Singapore have “a thriving cocktail culture”. Proof & Company will initially sell five products, including a pink grapefruit soda and a new fig leaf soda. Adrian Chung, the general manager of the distributor's business in Hong Kong, said: “The demand for high-quality mixers has never been greater, and Three Cents will bring an exciting new dimension to the premium cocktail experience in our markets.” Coca-Cola HBC acquired the parent company Three Cents in 2022 in a deal worth €45m (then $45.9m). Three Cents was founded in 2014 by Bagos, Dimitris Dafopoulos, George Tsirikos and Vassilis Kalantzis, a group of bartenders and food and beverage professionals. Coca-Cola HBC classifies Three Cents under its “adult sparkling” business.
