She says it was her grandma's "absolute favorite coffee, like hands down." So when Williams, who is from Springer and has lived and worked in the Albuquerque area for nearly three decades as an owner of two insurance agencies, thought of her next entrepreneurial endeavor, bringing The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf to the state was a no-brainer. She's been on the company's waitlist for the past 11 years, Williams said, waiting for the call to bring the coffee shop brand to New Mexico. Now, that goal is one step closer to reality. Williams recently entered a franchise agreement with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf with the hopes of bringing up to 10 stores across New Mexico, two in the Santa Fe area but also in other parts of the state such as Albuquerque, Taos, Rio Rancho, Las Cruces and potentially Clovis.
