BriaCell gains after update on late-stage trial for lead asset [Seeking Alpha]

biotech said that patient enrollment in its Phase 3 pivotal trial for lead candidate Bria-IMT in breast cancer is on track for completion by mid-2025. The company added that the 354-subject trial, designed to evaluate Bria-IMT with an immune checkpoint inhibitor in metastatic breast cancer, is currently enrolling patients across 35 clinical sites. Patients will be randomized to receive the BriaCell combination regimen or physician's choice, while a small number of patients (n = 50) will receive Bria-IMT monotherapy. Investigators are expected to run an interim analysis once the trial records 144 events (deaths). As part of the analysis, they will calculate overall survival, a key metric for cancer drugs, for the combination regimen versus that in the physician's choice as the primary endpoint.
