Quebecor ( QBR-B.TO ) is the outlier in the outlook, with its rating upgraded to “Outperform” and price target pushed up to $39 from $37. The price target for Cogeco Communications ( CCA.TO ) was held steady at $77. BCE Inc. (BCE.TO) RBC's changes come a week after National Bank of Canada Financial Markets (NBC) analysts adjusted their telecom sector views, citing pressure on growth from lower immigration and ongoing wireless competition. NBC dropped Telus to "Sector perform" from "Outperform" and lowered its target to $22 from $24. Price targets were also dropped for Rogers ($67 to $62) and BCE ($41 to $37). McReynolds notes that 2024 featured downward revisions on revenue growth guidance from both BCE and Telus, and that “Quebecor and Cogeco both struggled to generate even modest positive underlying revenue growth.” Competition was ferocious in the wireless sector, hampering earnings growth, with Quebecor undercutting Telus, BCE and Rogers via its recently acquired Freedom Mo
