When Sharon Price John became CEO of the beloved Build-A-Bear Workshop in 2013, she stepped into a company in decline. Still, she recognized the enormous fountain of untapped potential. The plush animal retailer had, since their inception in 1997, maintained focus on their predominately mall-based brick and mortar stores, which had been successful —- until the 2007-2009 recession.
