BlackBerry ( BB.TO BB ) shares sank over 20 per cent in early trading on Wednesday. The Waterloo, Ont.-based technology company cut its 2026 sales guidance, blaming an “uncertain backdrop” for its automotive software and secure communications units due to U.S. government tariffs and personnel cuts. BlackBerry, which keeps its books in U.S. dollars, reported financial results for the three months and fiscal year ended Feb. 28 before the opening bell. The company's latest guidance calls for sales between US$504 million and US$534 million in its next fiscal year, down from the US$534.9 million booked in fiscal 2025.
