Stock-index futures edge lower after weak China data Stock-index futures edged lower Friday, pointing to a downbeat start for Wall Street, after a round of disappointing Chinese economic data, while tech shares appeared set to feel pressure from lower guidance by tech conglomerate Broadcom Inc., which cited trade-related worries. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average YMU19, -0.19% fell 42 points, or 0.2%, to 26,073, while S&P 500 futures ESU19, -0.30% declined 8.2 points, or 0.4%, to 2,886.5. Nasdaq-100 futures NQU19, -0.80% declined 57.25 points, or 0.8%, to 7,465.50. The Dow DJIA, +0.39% on Thursday rose 101.94 points, or 0.4%, to close at 26,106.77, while the S&P 500 SPX, +0.41% advanced 11.8 points, or 0.4%, to finish at 2,891.64. The Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.57% gained 44.41 points, or 0.6%, to end at 7,837.13. Major indexes are on track for weekly gains and are solidly higher for the month.
