VRR Inc does not make drones, but CSO Dutch Alessi and CTO Kevin Hernandez believe their company can transform drone warfare. One of their most important products is not much more than a cardboard shipping box. But, with the addition of smart software called HoloWarrior® — VRRs real specialty – that box becomes a HellHive® , a launching base for a mass of efficient, low-cost attack drones. “HellHive containers allow us to safely store, transport and directly rapidly launch swarms of drones in a smart way,” Hernandez told me. Another simple but ingenious hardware add-on, with the related software, allows drones to perch, extending mission time by a factor of ten or more. A team of drones with this BatMode can keep an area under persistent observation and ambush an enemy force from close range, in a large-scale version of a tactic already seen in Ukraine.
