Shares rose 0.8% in premarket trading. "Autodesk shares are trading at a multi-turn discount to both design software and scaled software peers while fundamentals are passing the trough on FCF, revenue growth, operating margin and investor sentiment," analyst Elizabeth Porter wrote in a note. "As such, we see a favorable risk/reward with an opportunity for both EPS and multiple expansion." Porter has an Overweight rating and $320 price target on Autodesk. By fiscal 2028, Autodesk's margins could hit 29%, up from the current 22%, while adjusted earnings per share could top the consensus estimate on Wall Street by roughly 8%, Porter added. As such, there could be as much as 20% upside or more in shares, Porter said, "emboldening our [Overweight] view."
