The binding contract - after a preliminary agreement announced in April - is the first major award to be completed under the $52.7 billion program created in 2022. Meanwhile, Intel continues to await final word on its pending award of $8.5 billion from the legislation that is meant to help it finance its $28 billion project in Licking County and expansions elsewhere for its U.S. operations. Intel also is eligible for up to $11 billion in low-cost loans.
