Now, a company spun out from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), has raised $27 million in a Series B funding round to apply AI to solve that exact pain point. In simple terms, Neural Concept lets designers model how components will perform before they can be manufactured — it's no use just having the design of a component, you need to know how it's going to behave as part of an engine, for instance.
